Robert Alvarez, Lieutenant Colonel (retired), Chairman and CEO, Following his retirement from the United States Army in 2000, Bob served as the President of Sales and Marketing at North Point Group, achieving over $50 million dollars in commercial property development and sales. His extensive experience in government and commercial development are critical to the marketing efforts of JBAR.

Ray Ortega, President, As a former Department of Energy Chief Auditor for the Southern Region and Senior Auditor with the Defense Contracts Audit Agency, Ray has an has an outstanding knowledge of the Federal Procurement regulations and the indispensable experience to be successful when doing business with Federal Government. Mr. Ortega named recipient of the Military Traffic Management Command, Quality Award for savings to the Government, In 1997 it was recognized by Hispanic Business Magazine and Inc. Magazine as “One of the Top 500 Hispanic Business in the Nation”.

Jose Quinones, President, JBAR International, Mr. Quinones enjoyed a 31 year career as a Senior level executive for Avon Products Inc. Mr. Quinones joined the company to lead market penetration efforts in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean. He has extensive experience in global markets and in most management disciplines including but not limited to manufacturing and distribution, supply chain, sales and marketing and strategic planning. He served as a member of the Puerto Rico Manufactures Association Board of Directors and served two terms as President of the Southwestern Manufacturing Association. Joe is a University of Puerto Rico Mayaguez Campus graduate in Engineering and Finance, and holds an MBA.

Margarita Ayes, Senior VP, JBAR International, Ms. Ayes has more than 30 years’ experience in marketing and small business ownership. Ms. Ayes has founded several businesses in USA and Puerto Rico aimed at providing marketing and promotional events services. She joined JBAR International with the mission to grow the renewable energy products and services in Puerto Rico and develop new business initiatives. Most recently she conducted a very successful green energy event Eco Expo with the participation of more than 16 speakers in the renewable energy field. Ms. Ayes. has been appointed President of the Green Energy Committee of Centro Unido de Detallistas of Puerto Rico to collaborate and lead all future green energy efforts required by the organization.

David Poythress, Executive VP and Program Manager, leading JBAR’s Business Development Efforts. David B. Poythress, Maj. Gen. USAF, retired, is an attorney and earned both his B.A. and JD degree at Emory University in Atlanta. David was commissioned as an Air Force officer, serving his country in the Republic of Vietnam.

Maj. Gen. Poythress committed the Georgia Guard to a comprehensive program of leadership development, strategic planning, and quality leadership. Under his leadership, the Georgia Guard was named the first public agency to be awarded the Oglethorpe Award, the State of Georgia equivalent of the Malcolm Baldrige Award for leadership excellence. Major General Poythress has held leadership positions in several national and local organizations. He served as Vice Chairman of the Board of the National Guard Association of the United States, and is a member of the Board of Directors of Jobs for America’s Graduates.

Mr. Poythress has more than thirty years executive experience both in the public and private sector. He has held several public offices including Secretary of State, Commissioner of Labor, Deputy Commissioner of Revenue and State Adjutant General.

He has served two terms as Chairman of the Board of the State YMCA of Georgia, and he previously served on the boards of Wesley Homes and the Atlanta Day Shelter for Women. He is a member of the American Legion, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the USO.
